Westward Expansion
REMINDER! All assignments are due by Wednesday, December 20, 2006. No Exceptions!
If you are absent, it is your responsibility to come in during Open Lab.

Scenario

As more and more people began to immigrate to the United States, there became a need for more land and better opportunities. Many people decided to risk what they had for a chance at a new life on the Western front. What would persuade someone to give up all they had for the unknown? What opportunities were perceived and what were the risks? Your group will be looking at primary sources and various web sites in your search to understand the thoughts of the pioneers of the west.
