Advanced PowerPoint
 
  We have been looking at how to customize PowerPoint presentations using custom backgrounds and through changing the slide master. Now we will be adding video and audio files to presentations to make them more interesting.
 
  Follow the direction for each task listed below. Download the files provided to complete the PowerPoint tasks.
   
Earthquakes and Volcanoes
 

For this presentation, download the files listed below. View the video files and listen to the audio file. After opening the PowerPoint determine where you think each video/audio file should go. Insert all three media files into the presentation. Be sure to check to see that all of the files work.

Once you have inserted the media files, add a colored background and change the text using the Slide Master.

 

 

Follow the steps below to save the necessary files.

  1. Right-click a link below, Choose Save Target As
  2. A Save As dialog box will pop up
  3. Find your folder (U:\8th Grade\yourusername)
  4. Use the given file name and file type
  5. Click Save

 

The 60's

For this presentation, download the files listed below. View the video files and listen to the audio file. After opening the PowerPoint determine where you think each video/audio file should go. Insert all three media files into the presentation. Be sure to check to see that all of the files work.

Once you have inserted the media files, choose an image below to use as a slide background or choose your own design. Use these directions to adjust the opacity of the image before you insert it into your presentation. Also, change the text using the Slide Master.
